Lights Camera Action

The MVSB II is a versatile underwater light that provides a color balanced, wide flood beam pattern. With a depth rating of 300 meters, this light is ideal for use in nuclear reactors, spent fuel pools, and shallow water applications.

The MVSB II is highly customizable with a wide array of component options including housing materials, front window, bulbs (50W - 250W) and connectors to meet any specific lighting requirement. Other innovative features are interchangeable medium or narrow spot beam reflectors. The light's standard reflector provides a wide flood beam pattern.

The MVSB II utilizes the signature ROS connector/socket assembly and is available with numerous connector options. Inside the light assembly is a unique spring-loaded socket that fits standard light bulbs with minican screw-in bases allowing the bulbs to be replaced in a matter of seconds. This light complements any ROS underwater camera and positioner to constitute a turn-key video inspection system.

The WDL-75 complements our PT-5, miniature pan & tilt, and several of our smaller camera systems. This miniature wet & dry light is also an integral part of the ROS Convertible Viewing System (CVS) andSC-18 Shielded Camera System.

Offering high power in a small, streamlined package, the Versalight is ideally suited for general-purpose floodlight illumination in confined areas or underwater video operations. Optional light bulbs range from 100 watts to 1000 watts. The standard for the Versalight system consists of a 500 watt halogen bulb.

The base of the Versalight is constructed of stainless steel. A quartz envelope surrounds the bulb and is permanently bonded to the base of the light. A high-impact, polycarbonate (Lexan) cover surrounds the envelope and provides additional protection against breakage. All surfaces are smooth to allow for easy decontamination.

The Versalight is equipped with the special ROS connector/socket assembly, which allows for quick and easy bulb changing. It mates with a standard RMG series underwater connector. Inside the assembly is a unique spring-loaded socket, which accommodates standard tungsten halogen bulbs with screw-in minican bases. Bulbs can be changed in a matter of seconds by simply removing the connector assembly.

The versatility of the Versalight is increased when equipped with one of two optional reflectors. The three-inch diameter axial reflector provides a conical, forward-directed beam pattern, and the two-inch diameter cylindrical reflector provides a concentrated, side-directed beam.
